One of the most common questions we get after a booking is confirmed: "how do I know when the technician is actually on the way?" Rephox's live tracking answers that without a single phone call. Here's what happens behind the scenes between booking and arrival, and how to follow along.
What tracking actually shows you
As soon as you book a repair, you receive a tracking link by SMS and email. That link updates automatically through five stages:
-
Booking confirmed
Your request is logged and matched against available technicians in your area for the time slot you picked.
-
Technician assigned
You'll see the name, photo, and rating of the technician heading your way, along with the tools and parts they're bringing based on your reported issue.
-
En route
Once the technician starts moving toward your address, the tracking page shows an estimated arrival window that updates as traffic conditions change.
-
Arrived & diagnosing
The status updates the moment the technician checks in at your location and begins the on-the-spot diagnosis.
-
Repair complete
Once the fix is tested and approved, the page updates to show your final invoice and digital warranty card.
Why this matters
Doorstep repair only saves you time if you're not stuck guessing when to be home. Live tracking means you can plan the rest of your day around a real estimated arrival time instead of a vague "sometime this afternoon."
Tip: bookmark or screenshot your tracking link when you first receive it — it stays active until your repair is marked complete, so you can check back anytime without digging through messages.
If your schedule changes
Plans shift. From the same tracking page, you can request a new time slot before a technician has been dispatched, with no extra charge. Once a technician is already en route, we'd ask you to give us a quick call so we can reroute them to another booking if needed.
